Stone Espresso Machine

The Stone Espresso Machine is build by Rocket Espresso to offer simple, solid espresso machine in a lower price segment. Is it worth it?

We tested the Stone Espresso Machine for about two months and yes, it’s simple. After turning it on it is ready in about ten minutes to start brewing. On the top of the brew head, there is a black knob which you turn to the left and the brewing starts. Sometimes we had some problems with the first shot to get the extraction started, probably due to the fact that the machine still hadn’t reaches it’s working temperature. After this it worked without any problems.

A little tricky is the steam valve. Since the pressure on the steam wand is not that strong, you have to foam with much care as usually but therefore easier to handle for those are just starting to enjoy making latte art.

All in all, in this price range, you won’t easily find a comparable machine that is built entirely out of metal, aside from the control knob used to operate the machine . In exchange, however, you refrain from all sorts of bells and whistles that you likely wouldn’t use anyway. An due to its small size it fits even in the smallest kitchens.
